Blood cravings and Blood sucking

Like any other existence, vampires thrive in the survival of the fittest. We eat to survive. And I may ask you the very basic question  among vampires - what do we eat? And I would be happy to oblige and answer, Blood!

Blood is our major diet. But yes, unlike most other vampires, my family eats human food. I even love McDonald’s crispy fried chicken and French fries.

Some vampires I know are even vegetarians. Vegetarians, in our dictionary, means they don’t suck human blood, at all. They only feast on animal blood or they entirely consume human food alone.

My family actually indulge in animal blood occasionally. But it is far different from human blood. Human blood can essentially put a stop on a vampire’s blood cravings. The feeling of satisfaction after gorging on human blood is ecstasy.

Some traditional vampires do crave for human blood. But as for my family, luckily, we do not. My ancestors, for that matter, tended to suppress their cravings. I have even learned that my parents even lock themselves up in their rooms for days and nights just to repress the hunger and thirst for human blood. Their repression guided them to adopt human ways of food intake. And luckily, my parents made us adapt into that kind of restraint too. Me, and my siblings, obviously, were briefed and were born into that kind of containment. And yes, we like it.  

My family owns a hospital, encase you are wondering where we get fresh blood. My father is a notorious doctor – he has a number of specialization, since as I said he is 320 years old. But he is heart surgeon. Ironic, right? But no, we don’t suck the blood of people who don’t pay their bills. LOL

We have a huge blood bank, where we can get fresh and healthy blood, from blood donors, of course. J My parents made sure that we have the safest and cleanest source of blood for the family. The blood bank is not only for human use, but for vampire use too. J

We consume blood through glasses and it must be drunk as soon as possible. Or we end up drinking stale and unsafe blood. These bloods are served in bottles, like wine or plastic packets or blood bags like those used in blood banks. They are sometimes chilled but are best-tasting if warm. Not that I don’t like it, but I try my best to avoid it.   

I mean, come on, we are modern vampires. We don’t suck human blood straight from the necks anymore. We tended to evolve. We coincide with the modern world.  But I do not refute that there are still blood-sucking, traditional vampires. 

And if other vampires want blood straight from humans, they can always get out of our sight and live us be. We don’t do that thing anymore. But we also leave those traditional vampires with themselves too. They are responsible for their actions if they want their meal to be fresh from human victims.

My mother, on the other hand, is a renowned lawyer. She has defended vampires who are charged with murder. But of course, humans never found out that we or they are vampires. It is either she had the wits and the guts to defend them and/or she can acquire legal or medical documents stating that her clients are indeed not guilty. She is the head of one of our country’s prestigious law firm. And yes, she also handles human cases.

My mother has even handled the notorious case of Stan Nicolai, the first vampire who has been caught-in-the-act doing his crimes in the open for a century. Several cops were even witnesses and there was even a rumor of a video showing his act of killing the woman.

Stan Nikolai was a famous soccer player. His family was wealthy, filthy rich some may say, and they are vampires. Stan was caught-on-the-act of sucking blood from a woman, who was later found out to be one of his fans. The woman died in our hospital after my father tried everything to save her. And since Stan was a soccer superstar, the media dragged his name down. But it didn’t stop there.

My mother came into the rescue. She was hired by Stan’s influential family. She defended Stan’s actions in court pompously. My mother has acquired important documents stating that the woman was suffering from a case of usual and rare heart disease. And that her provocative and intimate rendezvous with Stan caused her unfortunate death. My father was even called to testify for Stan since he tried to revive the woman. All of cops who witnessed the “crime” were either paid or their memories were “erased”, and the rumoured video went missing. Stan Nicolai was found not guilty and released from jail. Today, he still is an infamous soccer player.    

Yes, I will never deny the fact that there are still traditional vampires who still feast on humans, human blood. But they are absolutely responsible for their character and their actions. And I know that a certain group of vampires called the “Society” cleans up the messes they create. The “Society” was responsible for cleaning Stan Nikolai’s case. I will discuss the “Society” further as I continue.
